Fans of the Transformers will absolutely love Construction Devastator. You first saw him in the summer movie “Revenge of the Fallen” and now you can see him in your living room as one of the biggest Transformer toys ever made. Devastator can be disassembled into 6 smaller vehicles, all of them completely functional with motion activated sounds. The detail is accurate from the movie right down to the smallest parts.

Construction Devastator is massive, standing over 12 inches tall. He is heavy, solid and well built. Although because of his size he does tend to be a little bit combersome while playing.

The six smaller vehicles include a bulldozer, excavator, crawler crane, dump truck, scoop loader, and mixer. The only difference between this and the movie is that the vehicles will not transform into robots individually, but put them together to for one giant robot. However if you want transformable vehicles, you will have to buy them seperately. And they will not combine like this one.

And as the Vortex Grinder snaps open he glows showing his power. Destruction is inveitable and all around him shudder with fear.

But yes there are problems, especially for smaller children. Devastator is hard to put together, needing both finesse and strength. The box says this is a Level 4 conversion, that means young children may have a tough time making the conversions without help. It will however make a nice challenge for older children.

Generally Transformer fans will love this toy. Any bad reviews surrounding this product focus on the fact that the gehicles themselves don’t transform and the difficulty in putting it together. We think if your child is a little older and a big fan of the movies, he will love this toy. It’s not cheap, but it’s the ultimate transformer.
